Holiday Gift Guide

Holiday Gift Guide

It’s that time of year – the holiday rush. I don’t know about you, but I’m ridiculously behind in my holiday shopping this year. Well, actually, that’s probably because I end up finding all this great stuff that I want instead of buying gifts for everyone else. Oopsy.

Here are some of the great ideas that I came across (and maybe a few things that I would like for myself). Check out my Holiday Gift Guide board on Pinterest for more ideas.

To help with some of the holiday shopping, I’m giving away a $100 gift card to Athleta, which Athleta generously provided to help spread the word about their #MyFitWish campaign. It’s an awesome campaign so be sure to read to the end of the post to read more about it and for information on how to enter the giveaway!

Clothing gift ideas

FIN Project T-Shirt ($39)
The FIN project is a photographic study led by Tim Hogan, an award-winning photographer. It looks at the dramatic story behind the driving force of surfing – the FIN. Tim’s photos are beyond gorgeous and are now featured on a line of t-shirts produced by Art of Craft.

The best thing about these shirts is that $1 from every sale will go to support Typhoon Haiyan Clean Water + Disaster Relief project through Waves for Water. Over 1 million people in the Philippines have been left without access to food and clean water. If you remember, Waves for Water was also involved in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts here on the East Coast and is an organization that is doing great work.

Oiselle Flyte Long Sleeve ($66)
Over the past year, I fell in love with this little running company based in Seattle. I bought a few items and they are staples in my running wardrobe. I would like to add the Flyte seamless long sleeve for my winter runs (and maybe errands around town).

Spandits Women’s Tights ($45)
Spandits is another company that I discovered this year. I love this Maine-based company, founded by two women – mothers, runners and running coaches – so much that I’m an Ambassador for them! They offer super fun, colorful, print leggings. I have my eyes on the Galactic and Tail Feathers prints. PS: Tell them that I sent you!

Athleta Downalicious Vest ($138)
I tend to be cold all the time. This super soft and lightweight down vest from Athleta looks like something that I would wear all.the.time.

Jewelry gift ideas

Erica Sara Run Necklace ($58)
Not only is Erica one of the nicest people I’ve met, she’s also a pretty talented jewelry designer. I own one of her necklaces and wear it pretty much every day. There are a number of other pieces that I would love from her collection and I have my eye on this Run Necklace. Super cute necklace that shows your love for running.

Mala Collective Smokey Quartz Bracelet ($20)
I gifted myself this bracelet this fall. I was drawn to the combination of smokey quartz, quartz crystal an lava which is said to be grounding and to provide insight and strength. It is handmade in Bali and made from rudraksha beads which are believed to embody peace and love. This has also become a part of my daily wardrobe.

whimsy and spice smores kits

Whimsy & Spice s’mores kit ($18)
Who doesn’t love s’mores? This kit includes homemade marshmallows, graham cracker shortbread cookies, chocolate and mini skewers. Whimsy & Spice is one of my favorite purveyors of handmade cookies and other sweets.

The Four & Twenty Blackbirds Pie Book ($18.98)
I love pie. It’s a good thing that I don’t live far from Four and Twenty Blackbirds a super popular, local shop that specializes in pies. They’ve put together the ultimate pie-baking cookbook.

Polaroid ($69.99)
When I was younger, I remember running around and taking pictures with my polaroid camera. I loved watching the image slowly emerge on paper. It was like magic. How fun would it be to have a polaroid camera again?

Mobile Gorillapod ($15)
We’ve talked about my obsession with Instagram and I’ve shared some of how of how I take my yoga selfies. I would LOVE to have this little tripod though. It would make it a little easier to take photos by myself!

Clickin Moms: Shooting 101 – First Steps with a DSLR ($225 or $112)
I would like to finally learn how to use my DSLR. That is all.

So many great ideas here, Christine! I have yet to try Athleta but I have them on my wishlist. I have been liking Lucy lately, but I hear so many good things about Athleta. I love the tripod, it would be so good for selfies. Oh my gosh, and who doesn’t love s’mores? I shared #myfitwish on the Athleta Facebook page and tweeted it.

My fit wish is to finally be able to do the wheel asana. I am working on that one.
