You are now officially more than a handful. 5 + 1 fingers old.
You’re a kindergartener.
You’re starting to grow into big-kid-dom but still much still a little kid at heart. And what a big heart you have. You offer big and full love to family and friends along with laughter and giggles.
Forever the optimist (and sometimes full of drama).
You want to be a train conductor, pilot or mailman.
You learned about the tooth fairy (and that the tooth fairy can sometimes be forgetful).
You know all the words to Life in a Northern Town and sing it perfectly off-key.
You love telling jokes, especially knock-knock jokes with punchlines that are…unique.
You are becoming a prolific artists – self-portraits, pop-up books, Perler beads (which are NOT Mommy’s favorite), puppets, maps.
You are quite the negotiator.
You know our family’s calendar and schedule of activities better than anyone else. We sometimes joke that you are an old man stuck in a kid’s body. You are an old soul in many ways.
My favorite moments are when you quietly slip your hand into mine as we walk to school and when you give me a quick kiss on the hand in the morning when I’m still sleeping waking up.
I love seeing you grow in your relationship with your little brother and your unconditional love for him. Even when you say that you want to trade him in for another one, you fiercely protect him.
