My Life in Numbers

First I saw Alison’s post. Then I saw Kristen’s post, followed by Ilene’s. Finally, I made my way to Greta who started this fun way to share our lives – in numbers. I wanted in on the fun too so I’m linking up!

Comments

  1. Hah I like that you noted the number of tabs you have open! At any given time, I have at least 8-10, and when I’m Pinning, at least 20. It’s insane.

We’re the same age! Love these posts, so fun. Clever Greta.

    • I think that I might need an intervention to address my tab obsession. It freaks my husband out when he looks at my computer.

  2. Cute! I usually get 7-8 hours.. No kids ;) 2: counties I’ve visited…12 years I’ve been with my company…5 days a week I workout…1 pug who’s snoring next to me right now ;)
Kat recently posted..Deals + December decisionsMy Profile

    • 12 years with your company – that’s a long time! The longest that I stayed with one company was 4 years. Love the last one :-)

  3. Yes, I would guess I pick things up about 18 times as well. And I would LOVE to nap every day… hoping for one today. :)
Laura @ Mommy Run Fast recently posted..Thanksgiving Weekend TraditionsMy Profile

    • I aim for a nap every day. I don’t always get it and sometimes I don’t need it. I know that it’s going to come to an end soon because seriously, how much longer can J nap for?? He’s almost 6!!

  4. Love this. I have a thing about numbers. I sleep about 6 hours a night.

  5. This is so fun!

I do my best to get a minimum of 8 hours a night!

0 – Number of cups of coffee that I finish while said contents are still warm <—same here

Magnet collection, my Mom used to have her fridge filled with them (there was no space for me!).

    Have a great weekend :)

  6. I sleep 7-8 hours. Sleep is important! I’m with you on the 18 browsers open. I also have about 20 windows open. It feels fine to me, but my hubs stresses out with all the things open if he ever has to use my computer!
    Becky @ RunFunDone recently posted..Whew, I’m Glad That’s Over!My Profile

    • My husband is the same way about the tabs. Drives him crazy. I have about 20 different windows and/or applications open at any one time too. No wonder my computer runs slowly!!

  7. I love this link up! I’m surprised to find out that you only squeeze E’s cheek 23 times a day. That poor boy would be bruised if he was mine. They were made for pinching! ;-)

As for sleep, my body truly loves 8-10 but it usually gets 5-6 and it’s usually my fault. Sigh :-(
Kristen recently posted..Guest Post at Sperk*My Profile

    • I try not to squeeze his cheeks too many times a day. I had chubby cheeks when I was little and I hated when people squeezed them. I try to remember that but I still can’t resist his little cheeks! My body also needs about 8-10 and it’s totally my fault that I don’t get enough.

  8. That’s a fun post! Most of my numbers would be pretty boring though haha a lot of zeros going on.
It’s amazing that you visited 26 countries! I’m beyond jealous! Only 4 total for me.

    • I bet you could come up with some pretty interesting numbers to describe your life. I was lucky that my parents liked to travel and they took us to so many places when I was little.

  9. Wow, I love that you’ve visited so many countries. I wish I had traveled more before kids, but it just didn’t happen. So, now we’ll try to travel with the kids (and see how that goes). I completely relate to the tabs, needing a nap every day (that I hardly ever get), the purses (that I have and don’t use), the laundry, and definitely the cold coffee! Thanks for joining in with me and the rest!

  10. Fun! I love things like this. I love that you’ve traveled to so many countries. One day for me…

I never thought I’d be in New Hampshire almost 7 years. It’s the longest I’ve lived in one place during my adult life. I still don’t think we’re done moving!

I get about 6.5-7 hrs of sleep. Wish I got more but life won’t allow it!
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama recently posted..Post Thanksgiving 2012My Profile

    • This is definitely the longest that I’ve lived in one place and I’m not sure if we’ll move. We talk about it and I like to daydream about it. I had a travel bug when I was younger (and parents who liked to travel). Starting to feel the itch again!

  11. Fun post. I get lots of sleep, thankfully!

  16. Awesome! Maybe if my girls leave me alone for a little bit tonight I can play along!

  17. haha how fun!! I like that you have an exact number of times you’ve seen top gun :P

    • I am very jealous of your nightly sleep although the 6 hours is fully my own fault. If I were to be accurage, it’s usually 4-7 times before my kids respond. Drives me bonkers!

  19. love your numbers! Thank you so much for sharing them! Isn’t this a fun link up?
That is just a staggering amount of times to watch Top Gun. Your house sounds like mine with the artwork
I am impressed by all of the places you have visited and the languages you speak. That is way cool.

    • Such a fun link-up. Yes, my sister and I used to watch Top Gun all the time. Mostly for background noise when we were doing other things. I feel super lucky to have had the chance to travel so much, especially when I was young.

  20. I think you’ve just inspired my post of the day (now to find the time to write)! BTW… I laughed out loud at the image of your browser. I am not surprised, though! Mine too! x

  23. those are some pretty significant numbers. I love the cheeks squeezing one. tee hee. And i knew the allergy one. I can’t believe you’ve been in NY that long. 3 years to 17!
lindsay recently posted..Flashback Friday: Kiwi CotterMy Profile

    • I know! I can’t believe it’s been 17 years. Actually, it’s 15 because I lived up in Boston for 2 years during grad school but pretty much lived in NYC on the weekends. The allergy one kind of bites.

  24. Of all the fun things on your list…I’m most amazed that you’ve only had two cars. I just can’t imagine that. I must be some sort of car hoarder!

    • I don’t know what the in world made me think including Top Gun on this list since I haven’t watched it in a while but it just popped in my head so I had to include it! And the browser tabs? They can get out of control.

  28. Love this post!! And I have to say what an impressive life you’ve lead! 5 Universities! 5 languages! 26 countries!! And of course 2 beautiful kids! Go you!
    Jess recently posted..White RibbonMy Profile

    • Putting my life in numbers and looking at it this way definitely made me appreciate all the opportunities that I’ve had. OK, some of those universities include summer school and the like but I do have transcripts from them! Made applying for graduate school a pain in the butt to try to gather all of them up!

  29. I’m reading and loving this currently with 12 tabs open, less sleep than I would like and a handful of protein pancakes in my freezer. Have a great week!
