You know that feeling, when you’re the new kid in school and you’re desperately looking for a friendly face in the lunchroom? That’s very much how I felt when I first started blogging. I started blogging for me – yes – to have a creative outlet and a place to write. But there was also a part of me that wanted to have my words read and validated – to know that I wasn’t alone or crazy in what I was experiencing or going through. After a month or so, I found that friendly face in the crowd. Actually, I found 40,000 of them. I found The SITS Girls.
Every day, SITS puts one blogger in the spotlight and it’s their day to shine.
Today is my SITS Day!
For those of you visiting for the first time – hi!!! It’s so lovely to meet you. Come have a seat. Jasper and Everett made some lemonade for you to enjoy.

I’m Christine and I’m a Brooklynite, wife and mom to two little boys – Jasper and Everett pictured above. I started this blog because I became obsessed with surfing last year after spending time in Costa Rica and learning to surf. Since then, this space of mine has evolved to talk about my life, family and my love of fitness – and the challenges of balancing it all while figuring out how to nurture my own soul.
You’ll see that I like green smoothies and quinoa, that I like to swim and that I will put together a workout sometimes. You’ll also see that I had knee surgery about six months ago and I’ve learned a lot from my injury. You’ll also see my boys antics from our recent vacation in Montauk and memories captured from my son’s preschool graduation.

My favorite ice cream – do I have to pick one favorite flavor?? – hmmm – mocha almond fudge followed closely by salted caramel followed closely by chocolate followed closely by green tea (You asked!)
